There are no accounts on this site and nothing to sign up for. To remember your place and your text settings, the site writes a small record to your browser's local storage: which chapter of each book you were reading, how far through it you were, and whether you prefer, say, the sepia page and larger text.

That record stays on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and clearing your browser's site data removes it. Each browser keeps its own, so a place saved on your phone will not appear on your laptop.

The site sets no cookies of its own. This page will be updated before any analytics or advertising is added.
